Engineer and Scientist (E&S) Opportunities (Technical)
While other factions of the military have had to scale down in recent years, the continued development and improvement of electronic sensor technologies continues to be increasingly vital to U.S. fighting forces as the Army moves to a lighter, more deployable force. NVESD, with its scientists and engineers, will be on hand to support U.S. Army Warfighters by creating a more tactically responsive and effective ground force.
Engineer and Scientist (E&S) Career Program
NVESD offers university graduates career opportunities with the opportunity for advancement in their fields. Assignments are project-oriented and geared to advance personnel as rapidly as possible to a level matching individuals’ capabilities. The technical challenges of NVESD’s work afford Engineer and Scientist (E&S) personnel many opportunities. Training is an essential element of the E&S Career Program. Training sources include on-the-job training, government sponsored courses, private industry seminars, and academic instruction. Employees are encouraged to pursue advanced education at the many fine universities in the Washington, D.C. area. Personnel may receive full tuition from NVESD for job related instruction.
