We Own The Night

Welcome to the official Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) website. As "The Army's Sensor Developer," NVESD researches and develops cutting edge technology, with the goal of exceeding U.S. Soldier requirements, and allowing an asymmetrical advantage in changing battlefield environments. NVESD developed the very first Night Vision Goggle (NVG), allowing the U.S. Military to state, unequivocally, that "We Own the Night."
